Final dyno numbers with the S/C

Had the car dyno tuned today with the S/C and it came out to 340/356 at 8 pounds over the 242/286 baseline run. Very happy with the numbers. The extra 100HP really woke the car up. Running a 3.6 pulley for right now. Come summer time I am looking at a 3.3 pulley, either meth or an intercooler and possibly a power pipe. For right now I am going to enjoy my new found power.

340 rwhp is my street tune...with my race tune in, 1st gear is about 1.5 seconds, unless I spin the tires real bad! I have a power pipe and the 3.3 pulley and have never had any need for an Intercooler. Even running at 150+ at Talladega during the summer (AIT was about 137-144deg). After 30 minutes hot lapping Barbers Motorsport Park my AIT was under 130deg.

Go ahead and get a Power Pipe, 3.3 pulley and a conservative tune will put you around 380-385 rwhp @ 10# of boost.

Sometime on cold nights I have seen 14# of boost...that's over 400 rwhp.

I wanted a Cobra, but Ford didn't make a Cobra in 2000 (except for the R and I couldn't afford one of those). I got a killer deal on a 2000 GT and the 2000 Cobra R has turned out to be my favorite Mustang..so I decided to make mine look like the Cobra R.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I can forgo the intercooler though. I live in Phoenix and this being my DD the summers get really hot. 110+ for months or even hotter. I would hate to see what my AIT's would be without one. I am definitely getting the smaller pulley and power pipe though so we will see.

Nice car by the way!

I didn't know you lived in Phoenix, definitely get a Intercooler! The computer will start pulling timing @ 150 deg AIT's.

I would also spend a extra $500.00 for a Wideband Commander. Not only is it a very accurate A/F gage, but it has a hookup for a warning light or buzzer that you can set to come on at WOT if your A/F ratio is too lean.

My buddy who helped me install the V2 has an 01' Roush with Borla Stingers and it sounds amazing. He has a Roush side exhaust set for sale also. Here is a photo of his engine bay. Really nice car. Put down a little over 400rwhp. He also put on a Mach scoop which looks really cool.

Yeah, I don't think I could go without one here. Next order of business is some gauges. Def a wide band, but what else so you recoomend to monitor things?

I will look into the Widband Commander.

Yea that cdc scoop actually works so its a bih help on forced induction engines. How does he have stingers when theres rear valences coverin the old exhaust outlets? Like did he just the spot for the side exhaust open??

Good question. I will ask him today when I see him. Have to take the car in for a final tune just to make sure everything is in order. I will look under the car and see how he has it set up.

Kool thanks, yea how he has that setup would definitely help cuz that would make or break my decision. Lemma know what kinda numbers you put up with that final tune!

Well my bad. He actually has Spin Tech mufflers not Stingers. As far as the numbers it came out to 325/344, it had terrible heat soak, because they were doing back to back pulls trying to get the AFR's under control. It seems to be running much better now. He said the HP rating should be about the same as my first tune.
