where do you guys get this crap from?
NO, they are NOT standard....OP-TION, OP-TION
I've got one on mine...the way i bought it
Yes those are fleet only. Always a good way to tell where the car came from. If it had those then it was in a corporate fleet or more than likely an ex rental car...
I like the idea of them protecting the door, but do not particually like the looks of them.

I also think they are a fleet option. I see them on a lot of rental cars but very rarely any personal vehicles.

Okay. That's what I figured. My dad bought a 98 Mystique that used to be fleet car that was sold back to the dealer. He got it in 2000 with only 7500 miles on it. We had it checked out and amazingly it was in great shaped. Usually fleet cars are beat.

There are definately good ones and bad ones...The dealer I worked for would put most of the ones that he bought at auction through the Certified Pre-Owned program. That got them a pretty extensive inspection and anything needing to be replaced was. The certified ones also could not have been in an accident in order to qualify. I would not ba afraid to buy one of those, especially since they come with a nice warranty, but just an ex rental or fleet car...you just never know.

That's a joke, right?Ditto on the Canadian Option and Fleet Option. And if you really wanted them I am sure you could pick them up from the Ford Parts bin or an aftermarket company. Ditto again on the hit or miss with rental cars, which is why Carfax is so great.
