So does anyone know what a good pipe size is to go for aftermarket exhaust? Would I stick with the same size or would I get more out of one a bit bigger? Right now I have just the stock exhaust on a 4.6. Also what would be a good muffler to put on there? Im looking for a nice rumble on Acceleration but not too much pop when letting off the gas or too loud at cruising speeds. It's a '96 GT.

For a 96 GT I think the Flowmaster American Thunder kit #17212 is the best. It keeps the stock 2.5" tube size, the Flowmaster 44 Series mufflers in the kit give you a great exhaust note and, for under $400, it's very affordable.
