Steering wheel removal
Hey
So I'm just wondering what is require to remove the steering wheel off of a '96 GT? Mainly how do I get the air bag off safely? I should be able to figure out the rest after that, I just don't want an air bag blowing up in my face!

Disconnect the battery wait for 30 minutes to let the capacitors in the air bag system drain. Remove the covers on each side of the steering wheel behind the cruise control buttons. Take the 2 10mm bolts out. Airbag should come off then unplug it

You're welcome. Just when you remove the steering shell be careful not to damage the clock spring in the steering column. If it gets damaged the airbag, cruise control, and horn work work
