Engine rebuild break in tips

Just got a full rebuilt motor for my 99 gt any tips on how to break it in and oil changes

the place that you got the engine from should have told you the correct procedure of break in for your engine, and it should have a break in oil in it right now as well. again the place that sole/installed it should have the info on that process

They should start it up and hold it at 2k or so for I believe 20 minutes and then let it cool down for like 4 hours or so. With regular non syn oil in it and you should run that for around 2ooo miles or so. After that run reg or part syn or full syn oil which ever you feel like running. Don't run at the same constant speed for miles and miles better to change it up. Like if you are on a trip run it at 55 for a few miles then run at 60 then 55 again then 65.... mix it up.If your not on a trip or highway just normal driving. Ask the shop if they did the 20 minute run at first start up. Don't do a bunch of start up just so your friends can hear it run. Start it and drive it.
