Electrical connection

Anyone have any idea what this connection is for? I noticed today mine has nothing plugged in and while at the junkyard grabbing another part I noticed it had this plugged in.

under the dash behind the fuse box

could be the shift-lock actuator wiring. If you don't have an automatic transmission then it just gets tucked in and ignored.
