Does anyone on here use a Typhoon intake manifold?

I was just wondering how well it performed compared to the stock intake on a '99 GT? I've read the reviews, but I thought I'd try getting a second opinion here.

I have the K&N Typhoon CAI on my Mach 1. I felt a noticeable difference with it! I recommend a Bama Performance Tune with it though!

Vader: I don't know from personnal expirience, but I have heard that it isn't worth the money, and that the upgraded plastic model from Ford is better and cheaper. I've had to deal with a Proffesional Prodcuts TB on a friends car, and it is junk.

Not to jack thread but, i was also wondering about the same question. The typhoon is aluminum, and supposedly a higher performance version of our intake manifold. Is it prone to cracking also ,like the factory plastic intake? Anyone with more knowledge , please post.

I have had typhoon on my 2000 GT for quite a while now and I have not had any problems yet. As for my car I had to get a different gasket because it wouldn't fit properly. I also had to get a second one because when I first got it it was obvious that it has been used so I got a new one and I haven't had any cracks or leaks yet.

I, installed the PP Typhoon intake manifold last May/13. I had replaced the factory intake manifold twice, before going to the Typhoon intake . As far as the price, and the performance issue everyone seem to say is not worth it. I purchase my new PP Typhoon intake manifold for about $300. The FFRP intake was $275 shipped to me.If, i had paid the big price, probably would have went back to the stock.Performance wise the car seem to pull harder in the low RPM range than stock. I didn't buy my intake for performance gains, but it did increase power for my car.I now don't have to worry about the plastic nipple breaking again or the thermostat housing leaking anymore. For me it was a good choice. But everyone has their own opinions.

I bought one for my 99 GT, I haven't installed it yet but it looks like it's made well. I hear the Victor Intake produces better gains but I don't know if that's accurate or not.
