it will only get worse. it will eventually fail. but it could take months. it will just get louder and louder. and your brakes might get tougher to use. the pumps are pretty cheap. its the labor. unless you can do it yourself

Went on a 30 drive today and didn't notice the noise at all will keep listening for it in the future.

Tbone I was quoted something like $500-$600 for a new pump and labor and all that. Does this sound about right?
