Which clutch is right?

I am about to order a clutch for a 1999 V8 GT 35th Anniversary Ed. Problem being is that I see multiple clutch sizes: 10, 10.4, 10.5 and 11 inch. Additionally there are two different spline counts: 10 and 26. Which transmission take which clutch?

I tried googleing, but I get get back clutch kits for sale.

Thanks!

That was exactly what I was going to get. I just don't know which spline and diameter to order.

Just ordered a spec stage 2+ for my 2000 model. The 99 and 2000 have a t45 tranny with a 10 spline input

This is what I found out from when I did it.

1: I missed the fact that there are 2 different flywheels: 6 bolt, and 8 bolt. The 99 is an 8 bolt, and earlier were 6 bolts. The ford dealership actually told me the 8 bold version was discontinued. Summit and other placed did have the 8 bolt versions though.

2: The 10.4 inch that centerforce sells is the same as the 10.5. It worked fine. The 11 inch is only for cobras.

3: The 10 spline is stock on these. There is an aftermarket transmission that is 26, because the spline is actually the weak point in the drive train.

4: It requires a special tool to remove the pilot barring. It is pressed into the crank shaft not the flywheel like other cars. It took me 2 different versions of the tool to get one that would bite into the barring to remove it.

5: The transmission takes ATF Mercon 5 I believe.
