Clutch release issue

Yesterday I was driving home on the freeway (stop and go) in my 02 GT with a Spec stage 1 and Steeda Quadrant, when all of the sudden my clutch stopped releasing. i limped it down the freeway in 1st until the traffic cleared up then drove home. (Thank god I used to drive an old VW so I know how to shift w/o the clutch) is it possible that the spring in the pressure plate bent? What else could be causing it? Is it just time to adjust the clutch cable and call it a day?

I'd try to adjust the clutch and go from there. There's only so many things it could be, start with the simplest things and go from there.

The old cable was completely seized in the sleeve. Got a BBK one with the firewall adjuster and it works great now.
