i dont know about anyone else but when i wanted some sick looking valve covers it was a pain in the **** to find something cool without breaking my bank. Well, hopefully i can help anyone out that was in the same situation as me. I will custom paint (nothin crazy here) the valve covers and raised ribs on the stock valve covers. If your interested just email me at seany425@yahoo.com for info and pics. i attached one, i have more if interested

How hard is it to switch out valve covers? Is it something a person with some basic car knowledge can do?

I don't think so, I would not risk it.

it can be done with the right skill they did a valve cover swap in mustang monthly on a current mustang and it seemed pretty simple

Only difficult before you do it once. After you know whats happening its not that hard. I R/R'd mine along with the intake upper and lower and cleaned the IMRC's. Take pictures and bag and label nuts and bolts. In here are a few pics of the engine painting I did, check it out.

I have swapped them before, its not too hard...

1. Take off current valve covers, i think 8 bolts a peice. The ahrd part here is what will be in your way when you do....

2. Scrape old gasket COMPLETELY off

3. Clean new cover thouroghly

4. Line up new gaskets and seals and bolt new on, torque accordingly

really pretty easy to change the covers, what stinks is..how much has to come off in order to do so.
