Here's a good article putting the three to the test. Results might surprise you.

Hmmm, why would you post that?

Good read. Yeah I'm surprised a little, but not much. I think people underestimate how good the Bullitts are.

ok I'm gonna say one thing....I had a 99....if he short shifted it, he killed that cobra.....my cobra I shifted from first to second at 6700-6800 RPM....they are rev happy. the car is built that way...if he short shifted it and then shifted from second to third at 6000, he's retarded. pro driver or not. my car had AMAZING pull from 5500 RPM on. it loved to be high RPM. and there is one small thing they forgot to mention....the 99's didn't come with SF connectors, the mach and the bullitt both did. the cobra has a IRS which if you've ever moved one weighs probably a good 70-80 pounds more! also, to say he didn't get wheel hop is very doubtful. he wasn't doing it right if he didn't, I had a decently built IRS knew the car like the back of my hand and it hopped like crazy. the bullit is not a joke, but I'd be willing to bet if the driver would have driven the cobra a little longer and shifted later it would have been a whole different ball game....oh ya, and the 99 cobra has a 3.27 rear end gear with a T-45 and both the bullit and the mach come with a T3650, a better tranny over all with a steeper first gear ratio also having 3.55's in the mach, I'm not sure about the bullit. just stating what I know. I'm not denouncing the bullitt, but I have many videos of my 99 cobra putting an azz kicking on an 01 bullitt over and over again at the track and he was sporting DR's.....didn't matter. he was always beat by about 2-3 car lengths. my car was stock except for some flows....that's it. just food for thought and I know this is an old thread....also...this cobra got a 2.10 60 foot time....common, I got a 1.9 on street tires at bitburg (it's an unprepped air field slicker then the street) dude has to learn to feather out the clutch and not dump it!

the roll, 25 MPH in 2nd on a T45!? with 3.27s! you gotta be crazy! that's like 2800 RPM at best! you gotta be stupid if you've driven the 2 cars to start the cobra there.....and yes, the cobras are heavy....think about adding 2 extra cams and bigger heads as well as the IRS....it doesn't take a genious. but when it comes to power response to mods.....see what you get.

just thought I'd bring this thread back up.....discuss.

Technology wise, I would guess the Mach 1 before reading the article. I'm not too much of a fan of the iron blocks... so the Mach 1, IMO, is far superior...
