Took the driver side valve cover off and there is Metal shavings under it guy I bought it from said it was a ticking/knocking sound in the motor hey drove it and it died on him he had it brought to his house and I went and bought it from him. He told me that the speed of the sound would go faster as it got higher Rpms

 

can you start it? Usually when I hear knock it ends up being a connecting rod bearing gone south. Ticking is usually a lifter gone bad or something came lose. Usually lifter or rocker arm coming lose does not cause metal shavings. I'm betting you need to rebuild that engine. How much did you pay for the car?
