Borla made a cat-less Chambered Mid for only a couple of yrs. I think it was pt# 60060.
I talked w/ mike at Borla about these to check the scoop & he said they had discontinued due to lack of sales. Well needless to say i picked one of these up for my 03 Gt for around 100 bucks (147 delivered). I havent installed it yet & i am really just curiuos as to any info...sound, performance.....

Thanks Brett

Was it similar to a pro-chamber?

If so, The Rock 326 had a prochamber on his car for awhile with MAC cat-back. It sounded really good and made good power. Defintely a nice piece. Not sure if the borla is the same or not, but it should be a quality piece as their work has always been good.

I picked it up new a few months ago from E-bay, I did locate a web-site that was selling them for around $300.

They call out 99-01, but when I talked w/ Borla they said it would fit an 03.

I would say its Borla's answer to the Prochamber, look just alike but the Borla chamber has more rounded edges & not so boxy.

From looking on the web - i couldn't find were Borla makes any mids currenly.

Good find then Brett. Should sound nice. Rich's had a nice deep throaty sound and it was loud with teh MAC. With a magnaflow catback or other straight through, i bet it would sound deep and smooth.

Yup, I may need to look on eBay too. That 300rwhp is calling my name ever so faintly.

I really want to put on, but I am afraid it will void my warranty. Anythoughts...

From what I read about the warranty I have (500 piont) - Ford will not cover exhaust including the cats...so will it be voided?

The biggest issue is in many states it illegal to take the cats off the car if it'll be driven on the public roadways, regardless of any pollution/smog checks.

Alabama is one of them. It is illegal to tamper with emissions control equipment unless malfunctioning.

I only have 9k more miles (or one year) to worry about it

That should give me time to not feel bad about global warming and all that other stuff.
