black rims on black GT
wanted to get some ideas on what you guys think will look good on a black GT. Im leaning towards black rims it always caught my eye and i think it will look good on black with tints and all. At the moment i have chrome cobra wheels which im not the biggest fan of but not like i hate them (they came with the car when i bought it). one more question i always hear people saying they swap their wheels back to their stock when winter comes because of salt on roads and all else that can damage them, is that necessary? is it an absolute must as they will get damaged if you dont take them off during winter months? thanks in advance.

On a black car, I would get chrome rims or black with chrome/polished lip.
As for the swapping wheels in the winter, it is not necessary, but it's easier ( and cheaper) if you are going to be swapping from summer/all season tires to snow tires.

Black on black may be trendy and cool, but the allure of chrome will NEVER die.
If you want modern and sleek, do black. Chrome is more for a refined, classy look.
I run chrome wheels all year long. Granted, I'm in Arkansas and don't get snot often. If you're in a state that uses salt, it's probably best to switch to beater wheels so you don't run a chance of damaging your good ones.

i have chrome on there now i will post a pic. im in new york so thats why i ask about swapping and i have good tires on the car already so i dont need to swap tires if i was to swap it would just be the wheels its just like someone posted above im afraid that the salt will damage them thats why i ask.

IMO black on black is a played out fad. Probably because I had black wheels on my car for so long, but I really got tired of them all around. They look good, but it seems like every person with a black car wants black wheels.
