Best audio speakers?
1996 ford mustang what are the best quality speakers to use? And what are the sizes I know that backs 6x9 fronts? And better to use stock hook up or power it to my subs and amp my amp is 800w can be bridged to run speakers and my sub thanks guys!

If I'm not mistaken the mustangs have 6x8 speakers in the front and back. I just put the kenwood KFC C6894PS in my car with an external amp and I love the way they sound. They're economical and sound great IMO

Awesome thanks I have my sub wired to my amp so I think I'm gunna get some good sounding speakers with tweeters and hook it to my aftermarket stereo or if I'm getting speakers with tweeters should I be powering them with a separate amp? And use a power converter

I'm not to sure there was already an aftermarket stereo so I upgraded it to a better one that has sub setting I will most likely do that, get like a 300w amp for 4 speakers ? And use the converter would I be able to run power cords from one amp to another? Or do I have to re run a wire set for another amp

I would run separate power wires. What will happen over time is they'll start to burn out. 300 watt amp sounds goods. But you should make sure it's 300 watts rms so 75 watts per channel.

I forgot probably the easiest thing to do is run the power wire from battery to a distribution block in the trunk. Then run the power wires from the amps to the distribution block do it's a shorter distance. Now depending on what gauge your power wire is determines the size of distribution Bloch.

Ahh right on, I got the 1500w wire set from I think canadian tire or princess auto, and hooking it in the trunk sounds way better I can cut a bit off my power wire to re run the amps 👍and I was wondering for a sub mine are alpine type s, would a monoblock amp? I think it is would would those be better for base Insted of my 4 channel amp that can run speakers and sub

Best speakers for the price in my opinion are the Alpine SPR60c you can get a pair for under $200 and they push some serious power. Had them in my truck before I sold and wow...talk about jamming with clarity. My dad thought they were louder than the $800 speakers he bought from Boston. Would recommend a powerful amp for them though. Atleast 100 watts per channel. 125 watts per channel would be perfect

That's dope I love those type r's! I just recently got subs, y buddy gave me those type s for 150$ with a box, they sound great in my car, but only thing is my stock speakers are ****y lol they sound good still but certain songs it sounds disgusting I'm thinking even just leaving my set up and just changing the speakers with better ones and leave it running off my stereo, I can change the dbz that go into my speakers through the stereo so I think just replacing them it will sound great after! I just need some nice sounding speakers that I can turn up loud if I want and not distort
