it is a fairly low velocity intake, so it should be a little less peppy off the line, but should help it breathe above 3k or so.

It all depends on your plans. If that is your plans though, I'd be glad to take it off your hands.

im planning on getting that 78mm. these 2v have no top end... we all know that. thats why i want it. i was thinking cams down the road too. but it all depends how you want to drive your pony.
78mm is a bit big for a mostly stock 4.6L. I've seen some test data and it really does not make much sense to go much bigger than 70mm. Now if you had ported heads, and a big set of cams, you would be able to take advantage of such a large TB. Also, like others have said, F/I would also benefit from a large TB as well.
