For anyone out there I have a 2001 GT and Want to swap out a Auto Tranny for a Manual How much Trouble would it be?

 

its not a cheap swap. You have to have all the pedal assemblies, get a chip to retune the computer and a few other things. The performance gain is nice though.

My dad and I did it in his 86 Trans Am. Of course, while we were at it we did a full engine swap and it's now sporting 400+ horsies with a 6 speed transmission. : ) It reallly wasn't that hard, but like someone else said, it's pricey. The transmission was around 1000 dollars on Ebay.

 

u can get a new T-56 for 1800 dollars on ebay
but i would got o a wrecked 03 cobra and get the whole set-up
