i have a 95 gt and ive read in these fourms and herd form ppl that they remove the air silencer on their mustangs. i wouldnt say i know nothing about cars but i need to ask a stupid question. does removing this really do anything? will it sound different? and on my 95 is it that plastic extension into the fender well off of the air filter housing?

yes your looking a the right piece. it just opens up the intake a little more and allows the engine to breath better. you might get a hp or two but it does improve throttle response a little. no harm in doing it so why not?

It adds like 5hp or so, on a 03 cobra i know of it added 12rwhp, just by removing the airbox itself.
