94 GT is overheating, not sure why!

I replaced the thermostat with a Napa superstat, did a Rad flush and bought a new cap. I have a High Output waterpump which seems to be working fine as I can see coolant flowing. Not sure about the head gaskets because I have no water in oil and with the Rad cap off I don't see any bubbles in the radiator. The only thing I can think of is that the temp gauge on the dash is faulty. It reads as high as the "M" or "A" and sometimes the "L" on the word normal of temp gauge... I don't know what else to check. I also had coolant splurge out of the overflow tank once last week.
THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL HELP...

My gages were giving me weird readings about 3 years ago. It always seemed to run at the "R" or "M" in the temp gage, but never really overheated. The weird thing is that it would fluctuate and run up to the L when it was moving and drop down to the R whan stopped .
I took it in to my mechanic and he verified that it wasn't overheating and took a look at "ground" connections in the engine bay. He found a bad one towards the rear of the engine. Cleaned the contact areas & it's been fine ever since.
Hope it's something that simple for you.

Hmm ok Ill have to look into that. I also noticed when I get a wild hair up my a** and I get on it a bit the temp goes up but if I drive somewhat accordingly it stays fairly lower but higher than it should..if that makes since. But could also be related to a faulty gauge or like you said a bad connection under the hood.

Thanks for your input Want2!!
