A co worker has a mystic chrome terminator and claims he has 620rwhp. Is this possible with the folowing mods he has?
2.2 kenne bell, exhaust, maf, 60lb injectors, and aftermarkets fuel pumps. I dont know what kind of maf or fuel pumps, he says it has a rich tune! Is this hp possible and if so is it a time bomb waiting to blow?

 

Very possible, and quite sustainable. Those Cobra blocks are pretty stout.

 

It is entirely possible ... The Terminator has a forged engine and can hold IIRC up to 1000 HP

I guess the only thing is how rich of a tune is he running? A bad tune can lead to problems down the road but if he has a good tune even if it is a little rich he should be able to hold that power all day.

 

I thought you could run rich all day long and not have problems except for carbon buildup. Lean is the engine killer cuz it starts vaporizing the piston little by little. Correct me if I am wrong.

But I agree, that is actually a fairly mild setup for a termi in relative terms.

 

I Work with a guy putting out 750 at the wheels with a similar set up. He's got head work and cams though. Bad *** car!!

 

possible, yes. could it be shop talk, yes. block and forged internals can take it. the block is good to go it all about the internals. you don't want to be lean, running rich...yeah but how rich, too rich he is leaving power on the table ( makes me wonder about the tune/tuner).

 

If he was to lean out the tune to the proper air/fuel ratio all he would have to do is to put in a SNOW PERFORMANCE methanol/water injection system, he would get more HP because he is not running overly rich and the system will add another 60 hp or so. A way better way of doing it. THE RIGHT WAY : )
