4.10 gears better with 6 speed?

I have a 95 GT with tricks flow heads and intake, E303 cam, forged internals etc. it's a pretty quick car but needs a little more aggressive tune. Anyways the previous owner of this car did not take care of the transmission very well and hardly drove it anyways. 2nd gear synchros are shot and I'm sure 2nd gear is about gone and it needs a new cable and clutch anyways. With the setup it has and 4.10 gears in the rear would it perform better with a 6 speed swapped in or should I just take it to a shop and have the tranny gone through and get the 5 speed back to new?

cheaper to rebuild it. If you have a real good shop in your area go for it, if not I had a tranny built by Tony (owner) @ Astro. I have a stage 4 T5 from them, fast turn around and great to deal with. I have had mine for well over 3yrs w/o any issues. I was thinking of going to a T56 swap for my 347 but after talking with him about the T5 he built for me I'm keeping it. The T5 is so much lighter but granted not the strongest out there but they can be victims to the driver behind it also.

check them out...
