To my knowledge the stock inernals on the 3v's can handle the same amount of HP gains. 420-430 is about standard.

That's what I was thinking as well but I've been reading that guys have been running 500 on bottom end and holding up pretty good but I guess for that price of a 3v I could buy forged internals

Plenty of 3V's at 475-500 tops. But the 3V breathes better if all other components are brought up to speed. So getting there could be quicker than a 2V.

I've read above 430-440 rwhp on the 3v and it starts blowing parts up..? Then again that was in an article from awhile back, 2009 or so I think MM And FF or 5.0, I don't recall.

Gary runs 475 on Seven and several on that S 197 place are 475ish.

But now I'm hesitating and rwhp or flywheel.... Either way I don't think the internals are much different between the 04 & 05. But the 3V's 2 intake valves with the 1 large exhaust valve + VCT did bump the HP quite a bit. Stock Bullitt is 315 (flywheel) w/CAI/hoodliner. The 2V doesn't come near that right?

Your right 2v is around 260 brake hp which is why I am looking for any possible way to make more with less lol

Build the 2v and get forged internals, that way you can undoes more power in the end.

No matter what you do, building a mod motor isn't cheap. Stick with the 2V. For what you would spend for a new 3V, you could get a DSS or something shortblock and not have to worry about what it will hold. Plus the trick flow heads for the 2V are awesome
