2004 Roush Mustang?
#1
My uncle just bought a 2004 Roush mustang. He said they told him that it had the stage 1 engine, and the stage 2 suspension on it. Now the body is stock GT with a shaker scoop on the hood. It has rear exit exhaust, but they are probably 3" (seems like they were magnaflow's) and has the stock bullit style wheels on it.
I looked on Roush's web site and couldn't find a combination anywhere close to this one, has anyone heard of a car with this kind of setup, any idea where I might be able to find information on this car?

doesnt sound like your uncle got a roush. Sounds like he got a a regular GT, but I dont know about the shaker hood because thats a Mach 1. Maybe a bad question but is there Roush badges anywhere? Try running the VIN number.

ahh nice, but his uncle's car still doesnt sound like a roush, its missing too many signature parts, side exhaust exits, rear exhaust exit covers, badges.

The Stage 1 is mainly cosmetics which includes the body kit, springs, wheels, side exhaust, and and a few other items. The Stage 2 adds 18" wheels, suspension mods, and a CAI. Roush prices is about $6K and $9K respectively.
If it got sold as a legit Roush, specified in the sales agreement, and paid a premium for the car, and it is not, your uncle might have a case against the dealer for misrepresenting the car.
Provide the price he paid, post pics and this matter can be clarified real quick.

running the VIN will not show anything. Roush gets mustang GT's from the factory and mods them, so the VIN will show a GT. If there isnt anything that says Roush on the inside door panels, or a plate under the cd player, its not a Roush, its a "Roush", like my black 99. And roush wouldnt leave bullits on the car. The dealer probably didnt sell it as a roush, but emphasized the roush performance parts.

Any Roush built by Roush has a badge on the dash near the shifter telling what number it is. It also has a roush number sticker near the vin on the inside of the door. If it does not have any of these badges it is not a Roush.

I don't remember if it has a plaque on the dash or not, it did have
the shaker coming through the hood, Roush gages, and Roush
pedals. It seems like it also had a Roush badge on the trunk. I can't
remember what else, I'm afraid I don't know as much about Roush
mustangs as others, so I really didn't know what to look for. the shaker
scoup also said Roush on it. It also had an aftermarked shifter, maybe
a B&M not really sure, but the shift lever was exposed through the boot.

Yeah, that's the shifter, *** and all. I wish I
could remember if it had a plaque on the dash
but I was too busy looking at other things.
I love the shaker hood scoup, and I really can't
see a dealer cutting a hole in the hood to add it,
but I could be wrong.

Roush built 22 "Shaker" Mustangs in 2004. See if you can get a pic up for me to see. If not tell me if its coupe or vert, manual or auto and the color. I can tell you how many in that color were built, as well as trans..
Look in the pass side door jamb for the Roush serial # sticker. I bet its one of the shaker cars. I am interested in this, Roush Mustangs are "my thing" so let me know when you can.

It's a yellow 5sp (manual) vert, and it looks just like
a stock Gt from the outside except for the shaker scoup
and 3in exhaust, it also has a Roush emblem on the trunk
lid, and I think a Roush sticker across the top of the windshield.
Is there a web site somewhere with info on these cars?

There was a Roush Stage 1 in mmff awhile back, a silver vert with rouahs shifter and little pieces added to the edges of the stock front bumper and it had a blower and a drag sheetmetal wing, so it could be a Roush because this roush stage 1 had a stock look besides the Roush Wheels.

to avoid confusion, stage 1 roush's weren't supercharged, and look nothing like a stock GT. They have the full roush bodykit, side exhaust, wing, wheels. I know the car you're describing is modified, but again, im just trying to prevent confusion.
