2003 GT jerks into first gear

2003 GT jerks into first gear
Hey guys,
I have a 2003 GT and I don't know if its me or the car or what but almost every time i go into first gear the whole car jerks and sometimes it continues even into second. I'd like to know if this is a common problem or an easy fix? Please let me know thank you

Sounds like some internal parts are getting worn down/not sliding around like they should. Start with routine maintenance. Chance the trans fluid, perhaps that will help.
I suppose that it's better for it to jerk in gear than for it to jerk off gear...
