The A/C problem is low Freon.

The idle/dying problem is the IAC valve. You can clean it, but it won't ever be right, buy a new one they are about $60.00.

ac cycles too rapidly

Hey guys, when the ac clutch cycles too often like you are describing, that is usually an indication that the ac is low on refrigerant. The low pressure switch cycles the compressor based on pressure in the low side of the system. It cuts off at about 25 psi and turns back on when the pressures equalize back to 45 psi. It might just need a small amount of refrigerant but that would also mean that you have a small leak somewhere. How may miles does your car have on it?
