1996 GT Mustang clutch quadrant

Does anyone know how the quadrant comes off? I bought a steeda double hook quadrant to replace it.

It's got a clip and a spring that has to be pulled. It totally sucks getting to it. Slides right off after you pull the clip and spring. If you're a big guy, you're gonna catch hell getting under the dash. Pull the drivers seat.

Does the spring have alot of pressure on it?

It's not that bad just really hard to get to. Might have to take the cable loose from the shift fork to make that part a little easier too.
