As some of you have followed my post on this car, just 3 kids on the quest for a 9 second street car. This car was on straight pump gas, spare tire, full interior, subwoofer, driven to the track. The car is going to go on a small diet(tire, subwoofer) we are going to put the E85 "race" tune in the car and wait for a nice night. The DA was around 1400 I think on this night, we get into the -DA range in the next 30-60 days so that is when we will try....until then it'll be a street monster haha

haha the Honda(my daily) is down for body works/paint so the 5.0 has moved up to DD duties for the next 2 weeks.

Where did you see me pulling into?

That is awesome. I heard your shifts, and they were clean, and you had dang near perfect shift points. It's got a bit of wheel spin on the launch. Any way to make it hook a little better on launch? Maybe air pressure adjust? Will they let you use VHT on the line at that strip to glue them down before launch? I wasn't trying to be super critical because that was a great run. I was just trying to make a suggestion that might lower the times a little and get you closer to your 9s target. Just making a suggestion based on what I saw.

That really was a great run.

This is in street trim, hard side wall DR's. The air was at 17lbs for that pass, the car should hookup harder with a slick on it. Track prep was decent that night, and had just sprayed it. I know, I didn't take the advice in a bad way! The DR's are great for street runs but on the track, with a stick car a soft side wall slick is nicer IMO.

Yeah slicks would be awesome. Don't know if you have modded rear, but if you are pushing serious ponies (pun intended hehe ) then might wanna be careful with slicks. I have seem even 31 spline axels from 9 inch rears twisted after a few high horsepower runs. These new stangs do bite hard too, and you have a gear jammer which bites and re-bites. Just wanna make sure that street racer drives there and "back". I've been around the strip a lot in my life and know a bit about it, because I used to have a 67 I used to run 1/8 mile bracket on Sat nights with.

With the power you have and the times you have already run, you already know about "going straight" so that definitely is not an issue. You had that car going right down the grove and I really couldn't see any corrections except during the burnout, but that happens. During the run you were going arrow straight even during shifts. Great driving!

Yea the trans has a liberty gear set, 31 spline, aluminum DS, hoop, it's a fairly stock rear(IRS is gone), 3.55's.

The car has a set of slicks and skinnies on beadlocked bogarts.

This is a project built by 3 kids(23,24,24) so as money and time as we are adding to it, we went from a blown up car, stock other then the whipple. We went from stock to what you see in 26 days. Big changes this winter are a new(bigger) blower either a 2.9 crusher or a Fl, we already have the nitrous plumed and wired, just need to spray it. The car should make north of 850 on the shot and pump gas. After the new blower we are looking to push 1000 on the bottle.
