03' Cobra or 06' GT???

If you were talking about trading a GT500 for an '03 Cobra, that might be something to agonize about considering you like the S197 body. But quite frankly, considering the fact that a trade for a GT would seem worth it only up to the time you did it (and not at all then really), and definitely not in the long run, I think you did the right thing without question.
I love my 08GT, but I don't hold any illusions about how long it's going to take for its value to come back up (20+ years unless the next update is hated by the buying public). A Terminator is practically revered by many people, and therefore highly sought after (like by your friend). Also, and on a basic point, I wouldn't trade a car with 10k miles thats been well cared for, for a car with 25k, even if it is newer. With cars like these that are generally well cared for anyway, years can be somewhat irrelevant for a while.
IMHO you definitely did the right thing!

I'm starting to think the only way i'll replace the Cobra is for a GT500 in a couple years. 05-08 cars are getting way to common they just don't stand out the way they used too. I like the GT but after having a Terminator it would be a downgrade. For the past couple months i've been debating on purchasing a 5th gen SE but the only one that is a true bargain is the GT model. I've looked at Shelby GTs, GT500, Bullitts, Saleens, Roush......... To me these cars are getting way to close to Corvette pricing. The cheaper ones are really not much of a performance difference for a boat load of money I gotta tell ya guys i'm glad I got an 03' Cobra it seems like it's the last SE bargain of the Mustang world!

I WILL NOT be any means be complaining about a BOSS with a 400 HP 5.4 V-8.
BRING IT ON ... I CAN'T WAIT ~ !!!

A 400HP Boss would be cool I can relate, my dad has a 70' Boss 302....but I bet MSRP would be over $40,000 plus crazy ADMs thats my prob with the current mustang generation. The only true bargain is the GT model.

Whatever will make you happy- but how much horsepower can you use on the daily grind? I dunno how often you go to the 'strip, but if you usually are just driving around town, go with the newer Mustang. It may be slower, but it looks better, and is more comfortable, and more pleasing to the eye on the inside. I leave the "Going really fast everywhere I go!" crap to the riceballs. But again, whatever makes you happy, you should do.

As far as interior is concerned I agree the current gen is hands down better but in the looks department I'd have to disagree. When the 05' first hit the streets it caught my eye and I felt I needed to have one. Now as time has passed the 05' Mustang though nice I don't feel is worlds better looking than the 4th gen car. My personal opinion is that the 03-04 Cobras are the more attractive of the two (looks are subjective).
