Has anyone changed out their lower and upper pulleys? If so what combo did you use and what were the pros and cons?



I have the Metco 6psi over stock lower pulley and I am looking at adding the 1-2psi pulley from steeda.

 

I know there has to be somebody out there that can help me. Please, I need some feedback. :bang:

changed out the upper pulley with a 2.93 Reichard pulley

nice jump in HP and it makes the eaton sing!

Getting ready to install a 2.8 Reichard, can't wait.. gotta get the custom tune in from Amazon Racing first.


Friend of mine did a 2.93 reichard with a 4lb lower from metco. His torque went through the roof. Can't wait to see the dyno..

I may do a #2 lower later on, for now its the 2.8 and a 30 shot of NOS.

 

Your metco 6lb should work fine on a stock pulley. I'm curious about HP and torque gains.

 

With the 6psi pulley my torque was 455rwtq and the horsepower was 418rwhp. I think the belt was slipping also. I have since then added the Metco idler pulley and have not yet redynoed. I can tell a big difference in how it now holds boost longer with the idler added.
