Thumbs up

Hello everyone, I have a crazy / stupid question for you all. A friend of mine works at a shop that his dad and grandpa own. One of their clients just bought an '01 Cobra and had an aftermarket exhaust installed on it and gave the exhaust to the shop as a 'tip.'

This guy has given me dibbs on the exhaust, but, the only problem is I have a '95 GT. Would the Cobra exhaust fit on my car? I know the Cobras' have dropped back to a 4.6L and my GT is a 5.0, but I just wanted to know if this was possible or had been attempted before.

Thanks, for your time.

Well I hate to tell you, but it wont work at all. Its not because of any motor/tranny differences, its purely the rear end. Your car has a Solid live axle as where hte cobra has IRS. The exhaust for the cobra goes under the rear end as where yours loops over it. You'd have to take and weld in your tail pipes after the mufflers. And honestly you probably would not get any gains from just swapping the mufflers.
