OK, I was checking out my new book, Mustang: 40 Years by Lou Dzierzak & David Newhardt and I came upon the index of colors, prices, and how many 'Stangs were made. I saw some wierd colors in the from 94 to 97. I had never heard of these nor seen them and was wondering if anyone had any pics of them or a description. Here is the list.

94 - Iris and Opal Frost

95 - Teal, Iris, and Opal Frost

96 - Opal Frost

97 - Autumn Orange

So, any pics?

Really, funny how I just noticed a GT in that color for sale about 2 miles from me. I'll have to snap some pics and post them.

Not to be a "corrections officer", but Autumn Orange is no where near Bright Tangerine. Autumn Orange is a rust/copper type color and here is a pic Brad has of it on his website:

Thanks

My sources show 4,979 made that year (paint code K7). Not 100% sure this is correct but I believe it is close.

No problem. I didn't want to be one of those "people who are always trying to correct others". But since I had done a bit of research on various low production colors (after finding out that my favorite color Mustang ever, the '96 Bright Tangerine, was fairly rare), I felt that I could help out on that one.

Thanks for that, but I think that the 4979 relates to all bodystyles in K7 in 2000. This is where the difficulty lies, trying to break that figure down a little further!

D'oh! I didn't catch the "just convertibles" part. Yes, that would be tougher to track down.

There was a gold color. I think it was called Aztec Gold and was offered in '97 and again in a 2000 (not sure if it was the same gold or a different shade....anyone?).

I don't have any pics, but I did see one ONCE in my lifetime in person. It looked like you took the raspberry color that was used on mid-'90s Chevy S-10s and Cavaliers and mixed it with silver. It looked pretty sharp because he had a white top/white leather interior. He claimed it was a factory paint job. Can't find a pic to save my life, though.

Ok. I am mad. I just posted the stats for Jsgmuzzy. It included the answer to his question. I spent about 45 minutes figuring it out and typing it. It was about as long as grtpmkn's last three posts put together with all the math included. My computer came up with some error message. I Xed out of the box. I clicked back onto the site and went to check my message. No message. It didn't post and was lost in the cyber-space of the internet. So. Here is the answer once more. If my math is correct, there were 880 Bright Atlantic Blue Ford Mustang V6 convertibles produced in the year 2000. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be in my frickin' room pulling my frickin' hair from my frickin' head.
