I was having day dreams about my old 96 V6, just passing the time while I wait for my 05, when I realised something. I did quite a few upgrades before I sold it and never knew how much I increased the HP. I added the following:- Superchip, GT rearend and a Vortech supercharger. Anybody have an idea how much total horse power she would be packing? I am just curious. She's sold now and I miss her.

By my guess I'd say around 270-280 hp at the crank. You didn't mention what kind of transmission you had and how much boost your blower was set for.

A 96 V6? Stock, you're looking at about 150 at the crank. Add about 40% for a typical supercharger application, and factor in the chip (if it were tuned well) and the GT gears...
Consider a 15% drivetrain loss... I'd say 205 at the rear wheels. That being a conservatively low estimate.

Well, since you had a Vortech blower on your six, I would assume you were running around 7-8lb of boost? I've had friends with 96-98 v6 stangs that had exhaust, chip, ported PI heads, CAI, pullies, K&N filter, throttle body, larger MAF, and 7-8lb of boost with the same Vortech blower run around 300hp at the crank.
Dr. Iven...you do have a good point, with that set up he probably would be running around 205-220 to the wheels. interesting....

Also....you shoulda kept the 6. With that kind of power, you woulda been able to whip a stock 5.0's butt and might be able to keep up with stock 96-98 4.6 gt's with a few bolt ons, as these were known to be very under powered compared to the "new edge" gt's with 260 ponies.

I'd bet it was one heck of a sleeper. Did you do any exterior mods that coulda attract attention (wheels, body kits, etc.) If not, then it would have been awesome to just sneek up on an unsuspecting GT and blow him off the road and not know what hit him. :headbang:
Sure would not want to run into a v6 like that.
