I was just wondering if any of ya' have this weird ticking noise next to the driver speaker? I don't know what the heck it is...unless I have a blown speaker right there (it is stock speaker...that could be a problem?).

Any idea's guys'? Anyone have this? Ahhhh, help! :bang:

Dude, you are having some problems with your car!

Can't help you on the ticking...the only ticking I've got in my '00 is a bad fan bearing in the heater. I would fix it, but if I turn the stereo up enough, I cannot hear it anyway!

Most people do not even look at the V6 section! Also, if they cannot help, they will not post. One thing to try to see if it is the speaker, change the balance on the stereo completely to the right hand side of the car, if the clicking is still there, it ain't a speaker problem. Also, is the clicking there when stationary? Does the frequency increase with speed? If so, it'll be something to do with the front left suspension / bearings.

All things to think about.

Well, when does the ticking noise occur? When you're radio's on, all the time or is it just random? I doubt a blown speaker would be a problem, as the factory stereo won't let you crank the speakers that much. The easy way to make sure it isn't a blown speaker is to set the fade all the way to the Front and the balance all the way to the Left and if you hear music, your speaker is fine. Or you could could adjust the fade all the way to the back and see if the ticking stops. There's a lot of things it could be. How does the ticking noise sound?

I think if the only concerns with your car lie in the stereo, consider yourself lucky! Just make sure you're spending an equal amount of concern on the powertrain. Car stereos don't have the same effect when you can only listen to them in the driveway.

Abel,

Have you managed to try any of the above yet? I am interested to find out what the problem is.

There's a door down module located in the door panel at the bottom of the door, its possbile that it has come loose and it shaking around in the door panel causing a noise.

Take the door panel off and check for anything loose...

Later Doug904.

Well it still tick's (the noise is like a tick...no other way to suggest it over the net) when the speaker's are changed, however, no as loud and not as much? I have no idea. It could be what Doug said...but I have no idea how to take off the door pannel...affraid that will make thigns worse? Is it easy?

I still hope it is a speaker...since I am getting new ones installed, I will look then I guess?

This stinks....shoulda got something else as in car wise. Never thought so many problems would occur with 1300 miles on the car, Ri-dic-u-lous!

Actually, it sounds to me like a dirty connection. Clean the connections, wires and all, and it might solve the problem.

Yeah, it's a speaker...totally figured it out! I had some rap going today real loud, and as soon as the bass hit, it would make that noise! Sweet nothing else wrong with my car! I love this thing, but man....better material putting together would help for my 07 Cobra....Please God, Please!
