Hey I'm just wondering what the stock GT ehaust is. I've found some alright prices on eBay for take-offs. My car had duals when I bought it, but they're a little rusty, so what kind are the GT's? Just no name Ford ones or something? Thanks.

yeah, i think they are just ford brand parts. the tips are stainless though

 

The whole pipe is stainless (as is the whole exhaust system on V6's). Will not rust plus factory fit and finish and stainless at a low price. I believe pipe diameter is 2.25" with a 3" tip. Not real loud or deep sound, but sporty and good exhaust flow for stockish V6.

 

you are correct. Also on the mufflers, it will say FOMOCO i believe.

 

Yeah, I probably will go w/ getting a take off ft system. Maybe I'll get a GT rear bumper too, I think they look tight with the cut-outs for the pipes.

 

Even if you get the exact exhaust of a GT, I doubt that it will sound like a GT. A GT has gone through so many sound tuning processes that it would be hard to duplicate.
