Running twin m90 superchargers

Two days ago I just purchased a 1990 supercoupe 3.8L engine ad well as two m90 superchargers. I have seen a couple pictures of people running both. I saw this one guy had them stacked on top of each other. Does anybody know how to run both of them like that or have any tips that could help? I talked to an AM worker and he said running both with the proper tune, CAI, and fuel injectors, it would put me close to 400bhp.

It would be better to mount them side by side. To do that you would have to have a custom lower intake, fab up some idler brackets, and have a custom air intake. If you mounted them on top of each other you would have to have a very tall hood, a custom intake to go from the outlet of one, to the inlet of the other, a custom air intake, fab up idler brackets. Either way lots of work and lots of research will be needed.

I'm running them to a 98 mustang so the lower intake won't be a problem. What do you mean by custom air intake?

That makes sense!:P I'm not doing this until the summer but I'm wanting to get it completely ready and have everything that I need before I do the install. Is there enough room to run them side by side?

I wonder what kind of hood you would need for clearance. That be sick if you didn't have to get a 6in crowl hood. Maybe a cobra r hood Would work?

I remember seeing somewhere forever ago some place makes a 96-98 cobra hood with a 3(I think) inch crowl hood and it looks so good, haven't seen it since then thou.

I don't know if a 3 inch hood will clear it, and 6 inches make it look like you're trying too hard. I'd go side by side, it'll look cooler too!

If I went stacked I'd just make a cut out and put a hood scoop ove the 2.

I'm definitely following through with it. It's going to be a slow process though. Ill most likely run them side by side so I don't have to do any custom work.

What's the point? Why not get a bigger one rather than all that fab expense.

It's what he wants its what he's asking advice on, and a person deserves to be happy, so support.

Because I got them for ridiculously cheap so no matter how much custom work I have to do ill still save 3-4 thousand dollars. It'd be way over 5,000$ if I got a full kit on AM.
