Hey is anyone on this site from Rhode Island? Me and my fam just moved here and we aren't sure if my Mustang will pass inspection... It's stock for the most part, only "mods" that i know of are, it has a K&N Filtercharger, the muffler has been replaced with a resignor, and it's on a set of 17" Konig's instead of stock rims... Just wondering if it would fail inspection because the exhaust is "modded"..Oh and also Im under 18 and I have to change my lisence over to Rhode Island, would any of you know if i would have to go through the whole process of, classes, then road lessons and written test , or would i be able to switch it over from MA to RI without a problem. Any help is greatly appreciated..

 

You should not have a problem on either issue. As long as you have a valid DL is valid they should just give you a RI DL after you pay way to much in fees. The inspection should not be an issue. As long as you have not messed with the emissions part of the exhaust system (cats and O2 sensor) it should pass. Mufflers don't don anything for emissions really just sound.

Also another question... My speedometer is starting to float, like last night on my way home from Cracker Barrel in Wrentham, i saw the needle jump from 80mph down to 70 down to 65 then jump back up to 75 and freely float between 70-80 whilst my gps kept my speed at 75. Any idea what is causing this?
