new to the mustang scene

hey guys. just bought a 95 mustang 3.8l v6 and its bone stock except for the single 40 series muffler i just had put on. i was hoping it would b louder than wat it is now.. any suggestions on how to make it louder w.o spending buku bucks or failing state inspection? also i was very disapointed in how little horsepower this car has and def need to kick it up a notch.. again w.o breaking the bank or failing state inspection.. any ideas?

Don't know about inspection - Louisiana is pretty lax about that. I'm not familiar with that engine and the mods to go with it, but I expect some sound advice to follow.

Buy a cheap used one on Craigslist. Rebuild it. You can pick them up here for 150 to 200 bucks. New pistons, rings, and gaskets cost around500-600 bucks. Cost a little more but then you know its good.

Now you did it!!! Honda might be less expensive, but you get what you pay for!

Keep your 6 for now - and have fun building that 8.

4.11s??? Dont you think that is a bit much lol ... I mean hes not building a race car lol ... Dont fear the gear but man that seems like an awful lot of gear for what he needs, maybe its an SN95 thing =P ... if you want louder try dual exhaust all you pay for is an X or H pipe the muffler and the over axle pipe, not sure how much it costs though

4.11 for an auto is fine. Now if his is standard I would recomend no higher than 3.73.
