thats only half? i thought engines were only made to last like 150?

Anyways the way i figgure it is, im a 20 yearold male. I will probibly be selling the vehicle in acouple years to get a better car. I'm just wondering if it would last enough time. I only put on like maybe 6000-8000 miles a year if even.

well what are the things to look for on a mustang? I mean I know the general stuff to look for (various fluids in the wrong places, worn/soft hoses ect...) but is there any problems indigenous to mustangs? ... besides speeding tickets

That is a lot, even for 4.6L or 5.0L.

All has to do with treatment. If its been flogged, its already gone. If it has loads of highway miles, its still good.

My 04 3.9 will have 45000-50000 miles in its fifth year, yet all but 5000 of those will be highway miles at 65 mph, so the engine will actually be more like 25,000 hard use miles.

Of course, these are things most of us cannot know so you check the car and take your chances.

Well just for some closure, checked out the poor mustang. Had the mach 460 ripped outa it (saw the screw holes for the door speakers). Locks didn't work on the outside. Door panels were hangin on by a thread. Drove it around the block and said screw it.

Worst part is I almost bought a camaro instead *ducks*
