It started with the engine running rough at idle and then when I gave it fuel ran for about 50 yards then died on the side of the road. Now it won;t start can you help me?
fuel spitting out means that yes there is fuel but what is the fuel pressure? it needs pressure to run also does it have spark and did you check for codes?

no pressure and I don't have a code machine. Need to get it running to take to auto zone to chk codes.

Did you use a gauge? normal is about 38psi @ idle, if it is low or jumping around change the fuel filter 1st, if this doesn't fix it then lean very heavy towards the fuel pump. you also a fuel pressre sensor mounted on the fuel rail but you should get a code. Don't focus on timing if you having a fuel pressure issue, work through the problem.

Again: varify fuel pressure normal is about 38psi @ idle and about 50psi wide open throttle. If the pressure is just off of normal 34-35 or jumping around try changing out filter 1st if the pressure is 0 or really low lean towards pump.

Easy fuel check. Couple shots of choke cleaner down the throttle body then try and crank it. If it cranks and dies, it's a fuel delivery issue. If it doesn't crank, could be ignition.

Ok I had tried the choke thing mine was too difficult to do so I went back to the shrader valve and I turn the ignition on and off twice then tried to start the car, and the car started for a min then died again, now its probably a fuel delivery issue right? My filter is only about 2yrs old and never had a problem with fuel pump.

I thank you all for your input. Both of those Items are underneath the car and I am not equipped to repair those items. I will call a shop to fix this problem. A word of criticism please read the whole problem for the next problem you recieve, twice I had said that my car won't start and was given advice that required for the car to run. Thanks again!!!!

you can put the fuel gauge on the car and turn the key on it, if the pump is operating fine you get a pressure reading in the normal range if it is weak then the reading will be low. you can test w/o the engine running sorry it wasn't more clear, the numbers I was giving you are the normal operating pressures.
