Just Bought Used

Yesterday, I purchased a 2000 base model. It has 91,000 miles on it. I replaced a tail light today. What would you say that I should do to the car just to be sure everything is running smoothly?

congrats on the new ride. I would check the air filter, I would pull a spark plug or two to see what they look like. If they look worn change them out. Oil change unless the previous owner did it recently and you trust him. Voltage test on the battery and alt. just to make sure that stuff it up to snuff. Rear gear and trans fluid check. Belts.

Will be sure to do this tomorrow.

There is an oil change reminder sticker on the car and it is from a mechanic, still has 1k miles left before needed.

How should go about this?
Rear gear and trans fluid check. Belts.
Will be sure to check on this tomorrow as well.

Thank you for your help.

Voltage test battery if its the stock Motorcraft...mine died at 78,000 miles. Change oil and filter (NAPA Gold filter and 5-20 Mobil 1). Replace serpentine belt. Check trans fluid and top off brake fluid. Change spark plugs and wires (Autolite double platinum plugs). Two VERY IMPORTANT things almost nobody does: replace fuel filter and drain radiator, use Prestone flush and refill with fresh 50/50 coolant and distilled water mix. Finally check tire psi and tire wear...rotate fronts to the back if fronts are more worn. Wouldn't hurt to replace the wiped blades too
