Iv got a 2000 V6 3.8 mustang, with manual shirft, cold air intake, and flowmaster 40 already installed. It is in real good condition and am interested in making it better. Money is kind of tight so i need to stay cheap. First off, should i loose the cats or not. I never take it to the dealer, and i am able to do a lot of the work myself; lets say i do take em off, can i get the annoying 'service engine' light off? Iv heard of superchips, but i dont really know which one. I would like to take off the top speed, but still keep the same rev. limit. Also has anyone tried any adatives for the engine that really work well? Any oils? As far as physical looks, im into that also. Im looking for underglow LED's, maybe some strobes, or lighting devise that trigger at programable times and speeds. Heck id even try flame throwers! So if anyone has ANY suggestions, let me know, thanks guys!

P.s. I am an ebay person so if anyone see's a sale, let me know!

If money is tight, what do you want to concentrate on first, performance or looks. Seems like your going in alot of uncertain directions.

yes if u remove the cats u will get the light, it wont come after like 1 or 2 days later, well the superchips are like 300 buck or something like that, what you can do is take it to the dyno,

Ok so i think i will leave the cats in, i like the sound i have now anyways. Since money is a little tight right now i think i would like to aim towards performence because the looks arnt too shabby as they are, i just dont want to miss any good deals or suggestions (for looks). So what i have in mind so far is first switch the oil over to synthetic, iv got a friend who sales synthetic oil and well hes won me over. As far as a chip, if they are that much im not into one yet, BUT i have heard of people simply going to Autozone and they have a system they hook up to the onboard computer and there they can mess with the air/fuel ratio, top speed limiter and what not, has anyone heard of this? I would really like to remove the limiter, does anyone know what the limit actually is, iv only got up to about 116 before i got off the gas. Anyways im all hears guys, thanks for the input!!
