hey everybody, im new here so i need some help.. i have a 2001 mustang v6.. yesterday i saw some ford racing c springs for 25 bucks.. it says that there used and there only the rear springs.. so im not sure if this is a good deal or not... well i dont know anything about this kind of stuff so thats why i need your help.. also if i put those springs on the rear do the front ones have to be ford racing c springs also or can it be from a different brand. i would also like to know any suggestions on what to get so i could make some more horsepower for the best price...
thanks..

Welcome John

I personally use "used" springs, not without getting them x-rayed for cracks first (defeating the object of cheapness!). You do not know how they have been treated in the past.

As for the horsepower thing, just look through the the posts in this forum, there are loads of suggestions

Is you logic for getting the springs to lower the car or tighten the suspension?

If lowering is your purpose, front and back should be done at the same time.

If it is the latter, shocks, struts, sway bars, and subframe connectors should be part of the combo, and some research on your part is a must to accomplish the particular application you are seeking. Bigger and wider wheels and tires would not hurt.

well if you put "C" springs in the back, the fronts still going to be way high and it will look "odd".

You can get "C" springs fairly cheap brand new regardless. Check out our sponsor site PartShopper.com for some spring choices. Also you can check out http://www.gefracing.com for ford racing related products.
