Help guys!!!

So I bought a really nice 2000 3.8 v6 automatic mustang set up like a saleen the guy I bought it off of kinda screwed me after only 10 minutes of driving it I blew a head gasket and broke down! I really don't want this car to go to waiste would it be better to just replace the head gasket or mine as we'll buy a whole new engine????

What kind of miles on it? Heads aren't terrible to do on the 3.8l. If you do then take them to a machine shop to get checked for cracks or any warpage after you get them off then put new gaskets on and reinstall the heads. Replace thermostat and coolant and change the oil and you should be good to go

Kyle has it right. There's not too hell of a lot to it. It'll take some time, and you need to make sure you're careful, but it's not super hard. Now if you've got the extra cash and were looking to do a motor swap anyway, then now's a great time.
