My friend is willing to sell me his 302 and headers w/ the blown tranny, just wondering if it's a good idea or should i just walk away from the idea? He said 400$ for it, but we can talk about it when he pulls the block out of the car.

 

Im going to assume that with the lack of responce on this topic, that it's a bad idea?

 

Not really but is the motor in good shape? What is the motor coming out of? What does the motor include?(wiring and other electronics)

 

The guy selling it says he believes the engine has spent most of its life on the drag stripe, he call pull the harness also, comes with after market headers and he can get the tranny rebuilt , he's also goin to have the engine tested when he pulls it out, the owner he bought.it off of said the engine runs strong

 

It's also coming out of a Fox body stang

 

Try and get some pics and more info on what is on the motor. ( cylinder heads, intake, camshaft, etc. ) If its a stock drag raced 302, it might not be worth it. Aluminum heads alone are worth the money. Aftermarket intake may also be worth it. Just need more info man.

 

He said its all stock except for the headers, and he can't take a picture of it because he has it wrapped up right now.
