MAC dual exhaust conversion kit
Magnaflow dual catback exhaust
Flowmaster force II dual catback exhaust.
All of these kits bolt on directly to the factory Y-pipe. Which sounds the best that way?

But my question is, how will it sound without the h-pipe?

It'll sounds fine. If you keep the cats it won't be overly loud. But truth be told, its still a V6 so don't expect it to sound like a GT or anything, but it won't be bad.

To be honest, the stock sounds alright for a V6. I just wanna get a little extra sound, maybe a bit deeper of a note.

You'll get that, just throw some mufflers on and go. It won't be too loud and it will be a bit deeper.

Now like I said, it bolts directly on to the factory y-pipe. I can't find anything to guide me on the installation process...

It probably comes in like 3 sections. From the y-pipe to mufflers, mufflers, then the rest of the way back. Should come with the clamps you need as well.

Every video I've seen of a V6 with Flowmasters sounded like a ricer.

It's not a GT. Once you get into the high rpm range it gets a little high pitch.

Apparently that's just a mac catback. So just get that. It does sound pretty good.

I'm in the same boat- how much are you looking to spend on the upgrade? I want to go all out, but then again I don't know if it's worth it since it'll always be a sixer...

I'll probably end up taking mine to a muffler shop and see if they could fabricate something they know will sound good for a similar price. If all else fails, I like the MACs overall...
