Brakes!

Ok so my Ford dealer told me my front brakes need to be replaced sooner rather than later so now I'm looking at which pads I want to put on. I don't want to put stock pads on because frankly I think they suck. Any thoughts on which brands are good for 'spirited' driving. Also, I may replace the rotors while I'm at it...any thoughts/comments?

Thanks in advance

I got some performance pads from my local napa store they cost me around 80$ for the front pads. They are awesome and don't drop any dust or squeak at all. They also have lifetime warranty so I suggest those.

Sweet I'll look into it. Thanks. Do you know if they're ceramic pads?

I've been pretty happy with my Hawk pads, they stop really well, though they put off a little dust under heavily spirited driving.

Hawk pads are great. Advance auto sells wagner thermoquiets that are pretty good pads as well and not as expensive as hawks

Thanks. I've heard great things about hawk pads, but they are on the pricier side of things. I don't want to go cheap with brakes but don't (can't) break the bank either. I think I am favoring them though thus far.

Hawk HPS for street driving or Hawk Ceramic for clean wheels.

I use the thermaquiets from Advance. Use them on my car and F150. Have good stopping power and very little dust.

Just put the Wagner thermo quiets on. They have good initial bite. Haven't broken them in yet.

I'm in need of brakes/rotors as well. I purchased the Wearever Gold Brake Pads from Advanced Auto Parts but haven't installed them yet. Anyone had any experience with these pads? The guy told me that they are "premium" pads.
