I have had both. The American Muscle on a 96 v6, and a BBK an a 02 v6. They both perform about the same. The AM whistled a little bit, the BBK one did not. The AM air filter wad open on the end. I figure that is what was causing the whistle.

So what I would suggest is getting the am one and changing the filter it's still a lot cheaper than a bbk one

Hey,

I've had the SR on several of my Stangs and have always been pleased, they look nice under the hood and I thought for the price they performed above my expectations. For most people this is the perfect intake and I would have no hesitations throwing it on any sixxer.

At one point there was a problem with the filters, but as with many of our products we have updated them at the request of many customers requests. The filters for some have been a weak point in the past, but the design was changed not too long ago, and they should last a solid 100k+ now.

I hope this information helps, and if you have any questions feel free to get back in touch. Best of luck!

-Dan
