I am sure that someone has done this on a 'vert, does anyone have any pictures / recommendations of sub sizes to use etc?

are you talking about putting it under the rear seat? or behind it?

I honestly havent pulled the rear seat out of a vert, but in a coupe you would have to make a seat delete, because the padding for the lower rear seat goes all the way to the floorboard.

 

I was thinking below it, because I cannot put it behind because of the roof retracting.........back to the drawing board!

If you wish to keep your rear seat, you will have to put speakers/amp in the trunk. If you dont care about the rear seat, you could easily build a fiberglass box that is molded to the bottom of the floorpan with and mount subs facing up with an amp recessed somewhere in there. That is what Sendero has done in his cobra.

When you say easily, does that involve cheaply? I have no kids (yet, Help us God.....Sorry for that but it is getting desperate..). I do have 2 dogs that live at the in-laws during the day and need bringing home when Alex is at work, so I still need the back seat!!!
The trunk is that small, I cannot block any of it off as the Mustang is our main car for trips etc! Any other ideas??

 

not really.. You could build a rear seat delete with teh sub in it, which has another cover over the subs that would be strong enough to support misc stuff and the dogs. That'd be my only suggestion
