'96 convertible sun visors

Well, we passed the inspection on this thing yesterday after a (Rambler) pal tipped me to a local mechanic who goes easy on these inspections. Good thing, too, since I'm so new to these rides and I was worried about a bunch of small potential fails. One is the lack of a driver's-side visor, which I'm sure is considered safety equipment.

Since the junkyard doesn't have it in their cross-reference, can anyone tell me what other year (or model) I might find compatible visors in? The only two cars in the year range for rear brakes (we won) were stripped, and I'm afraid that these may be specific to the convertible, since they appear to be integral to the roof latch mechanism.

Sunvisors for SN95 Convertibles are unique to that body style (not common with Coupes) and have a large die-cast bracket that mounts to the header and contains the convertible top latch. Any convertible visor from 1994 thru 2004 model years will fit and function properly. The labels are different though between the various model years; small, large, yellow "Caution" or Orange "Warning" graphics etc. Additionally, all convertible visors have lighted vanity mirror under the flip-open lids, but many or most parts from the salvage yards may have broken internal pins, wires or other issues and no longer light up. Finally, the fabric used on these is quite poor for UV degradation and gets quite thin if left exposed to the sun for long. I've seen several attempts to re-cover these with mixed results. I've found it best to find salvage parts with decent cloth and spray paint them with an interior black paint (Duplicolor cloth and vinyl paint from auto parts stores) which will build up a paint film on the fabric and help them last much longer in the sun (although they fabric becomes rougher to the touch due to the paint). I've replaced these for many Mustang owners in this manner.
